Getting Started
The 3D Model Viewer allows you to see how your kit texture will look on a 3D character model. Follow these steps:
- Create a texture using the Texture Composer tool first
- Upload your texture using the file input on the left panel
- View your kit on the 3D model in real-time
Viewer Controls
Mouse Controls:
- Left-click + drag: Rotate the model
- Scroll wheel: Zoom in/out
- Right-click + drag: Pan the camera
- Middle-click + drag: Orbit the model
UI Controls:
- Rotation slider: Set auto-rotation speed
- Grid checkbox: Toggle reference grid
- Axes checkbox: Toggle coordinate axes
- Dual View button: Display front and back views side-by-side
- Screenshot button: Capture model with transparent background
- Fullscreen button: View model in fullscreen mode
Dual View Feature
The dual view feature allows you to see both the front and back of your kit simultaneously:
- Click the Dual View button to toggle the feature on/off
- When activated, two models will appear showing front and back views
- Use the Models Distance slider to adjust how far apart the models are
- Use the Front/Back Offset slider to create depth between models
- Take screenshots in dual view mode to capture both sides at once
Screenshot Feature
The screenshot feature allows you to capture the current view of your 3D model:
- Click the Screenshot button to capture the current view
- The grid and axes will be hidden automatically
- The background will be transparent (shows as a checkered pattern)
- Use the Download button to save the image
- Perfect for sharing your designs on social media or in your portfolio
Tips for Best Results
- Use the Texture Composer to create properly aligned textures
- For best results, use a 1024×1024 pixel texture image
- The texture will be applied to the shirt, shorts, and gaiters
- Rotate the model to view from all angles
- Take screenshots from multiple angles to show off your design
